A local businessman has termed the spat between Kisumu County Governor Jack Ranguma and Nyanza Regional Coordinator Francis Mutie over Prosperity House as unwarranted.
Erick Okeyo says the role of the two leaders is spelt out clearly and should not be seen to be at loggerheads.
Okeyo says the concern of the public stems from outright spat over the ownership of the building even in functions.
Addressing a press conference in Kisumu, Okeyo called upon Ranguma to seek for dialogue to iron out the issue.
He says the Governor will have to move and look for an alternative office space elsewhere if the national government insists on the vacate notice.
During President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit over the weekend in Kisumu, Governor Ranguma defended the renaming of the building to Prosperity House.
He says the name of the former provincial commissioner’s office is archaic and unconstitutional.
President Kenyatta failed to comment over the tussle when he rose to speak.
