Raila Odinga hints at backing Mudavadi for President in 2017

Is Raila Odinga preparing to hang his boots? Is he preparing his supporters for a Musalia presidency?

The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU-K) this morning held a Workers Thanks giving Prayer Day At St. Stephen ACK Church along Jogoo Road.

In the church function attended by both Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi, the opposition leader hinted at supporting Mudavadi next year.

Odinga released an official press statement after the church function that got many of his supporters surprised. Read the last paragraph of his statement and be the judge.

Below is his statement

“My idea of an ideal nation and leadership is in the Bible. It is inclusive, law abiding, trust worthy and devoid of corruption.

Reading from Exodus 18:17-21:
Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone.

Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You shall represent the people before God and bring their cases to God, and you shall warn them about the statutes and the laws, and make them know the way in which they must walk and what they must do.

Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.”
