Fondly referred to as The Queen of Ruby, Harriet, is a 23 year old model and student at Kenyatta University pursuing a degree in Econometrics and Statistics. We sought to know more about her and this is what she had to say
KenyaWest: Which words best describe you?
Harriet: I consider myself to be a complex human being. I can’t explain about me! Thoughts of words can’t define me
KenyaWest: When did you start modelling?
Harriet: I have always had a desire to model but last year is when I gathered all courage and started doing it
KenyaWest: What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive?
Harriet: My dad doesn’t even know what modelling is 🙂 🙂 🙂 and my mum is a feminist. She equips me to understand that I can celebrate my own self without being put down or needing to apologize for the way I look. I think this attitude is really crucial for a model and hence I believe I have an indirect support from her.
KenyaWest: If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?
Harriet: I have a degree in Econometrics and Statistics, so without modelling I am still an “Econometrician.”
KenyaWest: Who are your role models?
Harriet: I have two friends whom I admire so much. I’d steal a lesson or two to make my life better. One of them is Dj Brihood. I love his persistence and hard work to in everything he does. The other is Model Ann Kwamboka whom we call Huddah of Kisii. She’s a great inspiration.

Harriet: I don’t drink. I only take water or something soft.
KenyaWest: If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?
