The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), the single largest political party in Kenya today held its national women convention at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu.
The event was graced by Dr. Ida Odinga as the chief guest. Also in attendance were ODM National Chairman John Mbadi, Homabay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga and Kabondo-Kasipul MP Silvance Onyango.
All speakers in the event were unanimous that women leadership needed to be supported and encouraged.
Mrs Odinga promised to implore on Raila Odinga, the party leader, to support more women leadership by lowering nomination fees.
Various high impact resolutions were made by the women who attended the event including vigorously campaigning for Raila Odinga in 2017.
