Governor commissions a pediatric wing at Bungoma county referral hospital

In a bid to decongest Bungoma County Referral Hospital and offer better health care services to residents, Governor Kenneth Lusaka has commissioned the newly completed state of the art pediatric wing built with funding from County Government and Australian partners at a cost of Sh. 43 Million.

The wing was has a bed capacity of 80 that has enabled all children to be moved there and created space for the previous pediatric ward to be converted into a renal dialysis center.

The pediatric wing has a medical laboratory, a pharmacy, nurse station and out patient department all under one roof.
