The Community Development Trust Fund (CTDF) has pledged more support for the County Government of Homabay. The Fund has through support from the European Union and DANIDA spent Sh 110 million on various projects in Homabay since its inception in 1996.
The Fund’s Chairman, Eng. Peter Mangiti who is also the Principal Secretary for Devolution said the Organization was undertaking water, education, environmental conservation and capacity building Speaking at the commissioning and exhibition show of various projects the fund was undertaking in Homabay, Kisumu and Migori.
Homabay Governor Cyprian Awiti who was the chief guest during the ceremony held at Kideswa Primary School in Karachuonyo, said the projects undertaken by the Fund had improved the county’ development profile and improved the lives of local residents. He said his government was ready to work with development partners in addressing challenges facing the County, especially on health, water and education.
The function was attended by the EU Head of Social Affairs and Environment, Dr Dr. Hjordis Ogendo and senior County officials.
